April 5: The Black Diamonds RWA will host the "Three -Page Read" from 9:30-noon at Schooners Restaurant, 4250 Lone Tree Way, Antioch.

April 26: The Sacramento Valley Rose Chapter welcomes Allison Brennan, Monica McCarty, and Candace Hern, presenting a lively discussion on "To Plot or Not To Plot." Meet at the University Park Clubhouse, 9:30 a.m.

The Silicon Valley Chapter welcomes Jenn Stark for an all-day workshop on branding. Jenn makes finding your brand easy and fun. Meet at the Sheraton Hotel, 1801 Barber Lane, Milpitas, CA

Rachelle Chase double-finaled in The Sheila Contest, hosted by Valley Forge Romance Writers. Her novels RUNNING AWAY and TO CATCH A CHEAT both finaled in the "Women's Fiction with Romantic Elements" category.

Lori Borrill’s first book PRIVATE CONFESSIONS a 2007 Harlequin Blaze, is a finalist for the Colorado Romance Writers' "2008 Award of Excellence" in the Erotic Romance category.

Chapter Book Signings
Our PAN Liaison, Kalen Hughes, arranges new release signings each month at the Emeryville Borders. The signing is held after the meeting (second Saturday of each month) from 1:30-3:30. Not only is this a great opportunity for our chapter members, but it's also becoming a standard event that local readers can anticipate to meet and greet their favorite authors. If you'd like to make arrangements to sign your new release, send her your pen name, title, and ISBN at kalenhughes@yahoo.com
